Aerial Photography in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire

While I enjoy photographing many things from the air, I'd have to admit that aerial home portraits are my favorite. I love the reactions from my customers when they first see what their home and property looks like from my perspective, and, I'd also have to admit, I love the challenge of making every home seem like a castle.

I've done my custom Home Portraits as wedding gifts, Christmas surprises, anniversary presents, and, of course, just to take back to your winter home.

If you'd like to have a custom Home Portrait...

First, make sure your home and property can be photographed from the air. Stand on your front steps and look up at a 30-40 degree angle. Can you see sky from left to right? If you're on the waterfront, are there trees between you and the lake that still have their tops? If you can see the sky when looking up, I should be able to see your home from the air.

I'll need a photo of the front and/or back of the house, street address, and any additional information that will help me find it and get a good shot. (Is there a barn or other outbuildings? Pool? Dock or boathouse? Is it better to shoot in the morning or afternoon?- you get the idea). The more you can tell me, the easier it is for me to find your home. (If it's lakefront, a shot from the lake helps a great deal.) If it's relatively close to me, I'll often drive over for a look from the ground.

When the right day comes along (and I am very picky about the right day), I'll fly over and shoot your home and/or property from a variety of angles and altitudes. I usually take 50 or more shots- both close ups of your home and, when possible, photos that show it's scenic location (What's the difference?).

What does it cost?
If your home is located within 25 miles of the Laconia airport*, the fee for an Aerial Home Portrait is $450.

What's Included?

• A custom edited 18" x 12" enlargement.

Image CD:
You will receive the best of the (unedited) images in FULL RESOLUTION on a CD for unlimited personal use. You can have them printed online or at your local camera store, use as screensavers, or put up on your family web site. There are a minimum of 6 images (but usually more) included on the CD, both close-ups and location shots.

Custom Edited Prints:
My custom edited prints are made from your choice of images. I repair the brown spots on your lawn, remove any unsightly debris (including that blue tarp out back!), even take out that old car in your neighbor's driveway. I do my best to bring your home's image from "beautiful" to "Stunning!". (If you'd like to see an example of what we call Photo Magic, click here.)

They are then cropped (if necessary), color corrected, sharpened, and resolution-enhanced using the latest state-of-the-art imaging softwares. (the latest versions of Adobe PhotoShop, Genuine Fractals, and others.) Finally they are custom printed to your size specifications.

(Because framing a photo is a very personal thing- the color of the frame and mat(s) must be coordinated to match both the image and the room- I do not offer framed prints.)

A $200 deposit is required with your order; the balance is due when you approve your online proofs.

* More distant locations involve a mileage surcharge of $4/mile in excess of 25 miles.
Example- if your home is 50 miles away from the Laconia airport, there would be a $100 surcharge.
